How much do I charge for a website?

Less than many other web site designers!

Compare my prices and quality of work before you agree with anybody. The cost of your website will depend on how long it takes, and the type of site you want, static, e-commerce or flash, and how much content. I charge by the hour, and my rates are in many cases much less than some other web design agencies are charging.

This does not mean I am cheap, nor does it mean that I rush things through. On the contrary, I probably spend more time on the fine detail than most, as you will see by browsing my portfolio. It simply means that the other agencies are charging much more than me for the same work!

If you are interested in having a web site designed, I will come and visit, discuss your requirements, and will generate some preliminary ideas. If you like the concept we can agree a price guide, which is usually accurate to £150 - £250 either way. I do not charge VAT, and any subsequent alterations to your website are carried out at the same rate with no minimum charges.

Whilst your website is in development I will post it on the internet in a temporary location and advise the address so that you can view it and approve the final version before it is launched.

Once your website is finished I store everything on a number of hard drives as well as DVD, so every element of your website, photos and artwork, can be recovered many years later.
